There is never a charge to reach out via email. We will only charge for hours worked after a contract is in place.
Paid phone calls are billed based on the length of the call, as described on the page here.
For larger projects, we offer both hourly and flat rate billing options. Flat rate billing works well for projects where the scope of work is well defined.
Our current hourly rate for work done under a contract is $190/hour. We can offer discounts on this rate as part of a retainer agreement or long-term contract.
What to expect from a paid phone call
We use a third party service, clarity.fm, to schedule paid phone calls. You can select a set of times that work for you, and we will either accept one of those times or propose an alternate time.
Please make sure to check the time-zone when you are selecting times for the call. You will see the times in your timezone, so just select something that works for you. After we both agree on a time you will receive an email with the call-in information for the meeting, including international dial-in numbers. At this time only phone calls are supported, not video calls, Skype, or WhatsApp.
You will be billed for the call based on the length of time that we are both on the call. If one of us is late for the call, you won’t pay for that time. If we end the call early, or go longer than the scheduled time, your rate will match the actual length of the call.
Send as much information as you can about what you’re trying to accomplish before the call. We’ll prepare for the call ahead of time to keep your cost as low as possible.
What to expect from an email
We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, typically within 48 hours. If you just have a few questions we’ll do our best to answer them. If your needs seem to be better suited to a larger contract, we’ll propose a flat rate or hourly project.
